Order terms, in plain English

What you're buying

One custom-designed, one-page website for your business, at the package you choose (Starter, Standard or Plus). What each package includes is listed on the pricing section and on the order page. If you need something that isn't listed, ask me first and I'll quote it separately.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Canadian dollars. The launch offer takes $100 off the one-page site for the first five client projects, and the prices shown already include it. You can pay in full, or pay a 50% deposit now and the balance at launch. Card payments are processed by Stripe; I never see or store your card details. The price you see is the price you pay at checkout.

What I need from you

Your business details, text and photos (or the permission to use stock photos), and feedback within a reasonable time. Delays on your side can move the launch date. You confirm that anything you send me is yours to use.

Changes before launch

Each package includes a set number of rounds of changes before launch (2 for Starter, 3 for Standard, 4 for Plus). A round is one batch of feedback sent together. Large new requests after design has started may be quoted separately.

Timing

I aim to show you a first design within about a week of getting your details and deposit. That is a target, not a guarantee, and it depends on how quickly I get your content.

Refunds

If we both decide it isn't a fit before I start designing, I'll refund your payment in full. Once design work has started, the deposit covers the time already spent. If you're unhappy with the finished site, tell me and I'll make it right through the included rounds of changes before we talk about anything else.

Ownership

Once the balance is paid, the site is yours. You can host it yourself, or take the files elsewhere, even if you never take hosting. Stock photos stay under their original licences, and any domain name is registered in your name.

Hosting & updates (optional)

$40 per month, billed from launch day, with no contract. You can cancel any time and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. It covers hosting and small content changes (hours, prices, photos, notices), not new pages or redesigns.

The concept designs on this site are unsolicited samples with stock photos and placeholder details. They aren't client work.
