Concept designs. Not client work.

Customers search on their phone. Hours, address and a call button should be one tap away.

Facebook isn't a front door for everyone. A simple site sits next to your page and works for people without an account.

No jargon, no surprises. You see the design before it goes live, and the price is agreed up front.

Services

Everything a local business needs online. Nothing it doesn't.

The core of what I do is one well-built page that answers the questions customers actually ask.

One-page website

A clean, custom-designed page with your story, services, photos, reviews, hours and map, written and laid out for your business, not copied from a template.

Built for phones first

Most of your customers will find you on a phone. Every page is designed for a small screen first, with a call button that is always within reach.

Show up in local search

Clear page titles and descriptions, the right structured data, and a site that links neatly with your Google Business Profile so searchers find the right details.

Menus, price lists & hours

Menus, service lists and opening hours laid out so they're easy to read and easy for you to keep up to date.

Contact & quote requests

A simple form, a tap-to-call button and directions. We can also link to the booking or ordering tool you already use.

Fast, secure hosting & updates

Optional: for a small monthly fee I host the site and make your changes (new hours, prices, holiday notices, photos) so you never have to touch it.

Concept designs

Five directions for five kinds of local business.

These are design concepts I made to show what a small-business site can look like. They are not client work and the businesses behind them are not clients. Names, phone numbers and addresses have been replaced with placeholders, and the photos are stock images.

Your business next?

Every concept started with one question: what does a customer need to know in the first five seconds? Tell me about your business and I'll answer it for yours.

How it works

Five clear steps, and you can follow along.

A typical project takes one to two weeks from deposit to launch, depending mostly on how quickly photos and feedback come back. You can follow every stage on the Track your project page.

  1. 1

    Quote

Tell me about your business. I reply with a clear written quote and what I'll need from you.

  2. 2

    Deposit

You approve the quote and pay a deposit to start. The amount is in your quote.

  3. 3

    Design

I design and build your page, using your photos, text and prices.

  4. 4

    Review

You look it over on your own phone and computer. We adjust until you're happy.

  5. 5

    Launch

Final payment, then the site goes live on your domain. I can keep it updated if you'd like.

About

Hi, I'm Tristan.

WadeWeb is my small web studio in Toronto. I build websites for local businesses: places where the owner is usually the one answering the phone and cutting the hair.

When you work with WadeWeb you talk to me, not an account manager. I'll explain things plainly, tell you honestly what you do and don't need, and keep the price and scope clear from the start.

Tell me about your business or email wadeweb@mail.grokbot.com.

FAQ

Questions people ask

I already have a Facebook page. Do I need a website?

Keep the Facebook page; your customers use it. A website sits alongside it and works for people who don't have an account or who just want your hours and a phone number. It's also a page you control, rather than a layout that someone else can change.

Do I own my website?

You own your content: your text, photos, logo and domain name. If you take the optional hosting plan, I host it for you. If you'd rather host it yourself or move, ask and I'll hand over the site files.

What do you need from me?

Your business name, hours, services or menu with prices, a few photos if you have them, and anything you'd like to say about your business. If you don't have photos or text ready, we can work it out together.

The concept designs: are those your clients?

No. They're design concepts I made to show what's possible for different kinds of local business. They are not client work, no business shown has hired me, and the names and contact details are placeholders.

How long does it take?

Typically one to two weeks from deposit to launch. It mostly depends on how fast photos, text and feedback come back.

What if I want to change something later?

With the optional $40/month plan, send me the change and I'll make it. Without it, I can quote small changes as they come up, or you can take the files and edit them elsewhere.

Can customers book or order online?

The one-page site can link to the booking or ordering tool you already use (for example, a booking app or a delivery menu). Building a full online booking or ordering system is a bigger project, so ask and I'll quote it separately.

How do I pay?

You can pay online by card through Stripe, either in full or as a 50% deposit with the balance due at launch. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch this website. Prefer an e-transfer or to talk first? Ask me. Hosting is billed separately, from launch day. Read the order terms.

What about my customers' privacy?

My sites don't use cookies or advertising trackers. Read the short privacy page for how this website handles your information.

Tell me about your business.

A couple of lines is plenty. I'll reply by email with questions or a quote. No obligation, and I won't add you to a mailing list.

Sending opens your email app with your message ready to send. Prefer to write it yourself? Email wadeweb@mail.grokbot.com.
